Pros

Decent pay with increases and chance for climbing up the ladder. Could be better, though, especially if workers work more than those around/are expected to make up for slack. The employee pool is usually smaller than somewhere like walmart. Kept busy the whole shift--but don't overdo it. All stores should have chairs at cash registers. If we can do it at our productivy pace, than they should be able to. Sometimes it was actually nice to work through a whole line if you've been non-stop moving around the store. One weekday is designated as a no-work day for appointments.

Cons

Same with any customer service-related job. Any other poor experiences had to do with individual management. She did not like to keep us well-staffed. If i remember correctly, she gets a bonus depending on unspended budget and i expect that is why it was always like that.
