Quality of editorial staff is very uneven. Some love to hear themselves talk but lack depth. Too dominated by Philly based editors who seem not to understand bigger legal world.
ALM has fired some of its best people over the years. The strongest writers and editors frequently leave too because there are too many idiots running the show. Not what it once was.
Also no one knows what’s going on with senior management. I don’t think they care about journalism or understand it or value it. I’m not sure top editors know or care either.
