Pros

- Alstom provided a good work/life balance by offering an alternative workweek (9/80) schedule to the exempt employee population. - The healthcare benefits and 401k match were more than competitive in today's market.

Cons

- Global company with a narrowed regional focus. - Many positions were filled without posting to allow for competition among interested internal candidates. - Many senior level positions were filled with expats from France rather than promotion from within the North American employee base.
