Pros

Not a bad job for someone looking to work in EMS and if you don’t mind sitting in a call center for 12 hours a day. Schedule isn’t half bad either, one week you work 3/12 the next is 4/12.

Cons

No advancement opportunities. Benefits are terrible and expensive.

Good first job

Pros

Accepts applicants with zero experience. They will train you when it comes to mapping, protocols, and patient care. They provide a good experience for people that have none.

Cons

The training they do is the hardest your job will ever be at this company, the FTOs are extremely serious and take it way to seriously for what is essentially an interfacility transport company. youre underpaid. You are disposable to the company which is why they have such a high turnover rate. The FTO's tried to say that the high turnover rate was because the people weren't good enough but the truth is that if you cant handle working at AMR you won't handle being an EMT.
