Pros

Great starting salary. I had great, thorough training with patient, capable trainers. Very friendly coworkers and supervisors. I quickly felt part of a team.

Cons

I don't think I've had enough experience here to take note of any negatives. So far, in my opinion, the positives far outweigh any negatives.

Pros

Very few to list here.. Apart from it being a "good job" in an area where most people made minimum wage, the benefits were decent at first, but over the years got worse. This being the opinion of a single male in his mid 20's to early 30's. It all had hope. You start there happy and enthusiastic.. but then the Con's roll in..

Cons

Encouraged staff to work harder and take on more responsibilities without increases in wages. .04 cents after a year of hard work and non-stop overtime is NOT a raise. Constant fear mongering by managers. After they laid everyone off to send ALL of their Billing and Customer Service workforce to India, that Management/Supervisors were trained to inflict fear into staff with threats of Audits and Write ups if staff didn't perform at inhuman levels of production. Lack of funding for ergonomic equipment for staff. HIPAA Violations and confidentiality violations ran rampant. Management didn't know how to perform the jobs they delegated to staff, but were far too happy to hand out disciplinary actions to "weed out trouble makers". Low Morale was rampant. Upper Management would yell at staff and isolate individuals who needed coaching or teaching, to teach them a lesson, often resulting in further low morale and resentment from staff. Benefits eventually changed after several staff cuts, to be nearly as low as a Bronze level Obama Care plan, but cost twice as much pre-tax. If you took 3 days bereavement leave for a direct loss of a family member, you were given additional work and harsh treatment upon return. Very toxic company. STAY AWAY!

Pros

Steady paycheck...not much more than that.

Cons

Worst company I have ever worked for. Two of the most significant reasons are that...There IT infrastructure is horrible. A2C transportation management system worthless! The second....I am firmly convinced that there mission, vision and values are all centered around being a mediocre company that strives to do just enough to get by contractually...but that's all. I have never seen a company not strive to be the industry leader and best at what they do than AMR. Unless you can tolerate a over burdened work load, expectation to work well over 40 hours a week and not be appreciated for anything you do...this is the place for you. Its a paycheck..nothing more than that.
