Pros

Definitely care about treating their employees well. Competitive compensation. People are passionate about the mission. We get lots of opportunities to be around aviation!

Cons

Mostly an office job, but does have opportunities to work outside at shows, etc. It’s a not for profit, so you would likely get paid more in the for profit industry.

Insurance Agency

Pros

Decent benefits package that includes employer-shared health insurance, 401k matching, and pretty stellar aviation perks like reimbursement for flight training from student all the way to CFI. Non-commission based approach to compensation that's different from most other insurance jobs-- steady salary without the dreaded commission breath.

Cons

Non-commission based approach to compensation that's different from most other insurance jobs-- meaning going above and beyond monthly quotas is not consistently reinforced with bonuses or incentive rewards. Feeds those who like getting by on the bare minimum, starves those who drive to excel.
