ASM moved off of a an RPO with Allegis so they could establish their own recruiting. In doing so they merged HR and Talent Acquisition so that TA reports into HR. Yes, I said TA reports into HR. This means if you are a recruiter you are taking orders from HR partners. Technically, there is a Talent Acquisition Director but dont let the title fool you. This Director's loyaties are not to his recrtuiterts as they should be so you there is no safety. Safety is very important when you are given 35 plus recs to recruit for. Yes, I said 35 recs. Any recruiter on the planet knows if you are given 35 recs there is no chance of all 35 hiring managers being happy. Point is there is always enough complaints to go around when you have more recs than you can properly handle. The big question is does your Talent Acquisition manager provide defense and take accountability for this situatuion or does he run for cover to hide in the hills. The answer is the latter. This is the most unfriendly environment for a recruiter I have been exposed to without a doubt. Anyone considering a position here should ask very specific questions around ASM recruiting philosophies. Ask questions around the relationship between TA/HR and its business partners. The business feels neglected and has zero trust of HR/TA abillities. The business prefers to use outside agencies over its recruiting staff to fill its hiring initiatives. This is becoming a toxic environment with no loyalties is the best way to summarize. Good luck
