Pros

Good and frequent company events, smart colleagues

Cons

[Review for San Jose location] Very individualism, lack of team mindset (one of ASML's core values is "challenge" - to challenge others, not encourage you to take on challenges), lack of clarity from management, lots and lots of rules/steps to follow and to regulate how things work, weird org structure (project leads don't report to someone with same job function)

Pros

High visibility within the company. Flexibility of ways of working. Personal growth is encouraged.

Cons

Unclear goals. Changing demands and priorities. Project budget fluctuations. Unnecessary corporate demands. Poor talent retention. Compensation does not keep up with inflation (~2.5%/year for 'Meets Expectations' performance while San Diego's cost of living increased at >5%/year over the past 5 years.) No raise for movement to positions with more responsibility... ASML views as 'lateral movement'.

Pros

Colleagues seems always happy to help. Remote work up to 2 days, activity permitting. Employee appreciation activities like theater and game tickets.

Cons

Low drive from local leadership on vision and strategy. Low metrics to evaluate and calibrate the business. Unclarity of scope between roles and groups. Lots of waste everywhere, time, money and resources. Bad commute, most employees can't afford to live nearby.
