      Pros

      with the newly merged company i see no reason to work there - if your interest is IT go somewhere else - at&t has no respect for internal IT work - it outsources everything

      Cons

      at&t is disfunctional - it's managed in a manner that no one has incentive to do anything above & beyond coming from legacy t the current company is like stepping back 30 years with a terrible internet overlay - all company communication appears to have been writtrn by lawyers and is sometimes downright rude - medical benefits have become almost nonexistant - 401k was moved from publicly traded mutual funds to internally held funds with no transarency

      none whats so ever - management actually wants you to leave

      Cons

      No respect from management - CIO continues to remind the employees that they need to work harder cut back on expenses and people - I don't see the same from management. Headquarters moving to Dallas because they need access to a major airport - why when travel has almost totally been cut! It's a way for them to reduce head count only. They continue to offshore/outsource agressively shifting employees to Amdocs and IBM who keep employees for several months then reduce headcount - that why AT&T can say they never fire people!
