Pros
Friendly atmosphere, good IT manager, some other managers not so good. Director of operations and upper management great.
Cons
They list the position as IT HARDWARE TECHNICIAN so they can pay you less. The position as listed is a junior to mid level System administrator. You are responsible for everyone, near every end user and pc/ server related issue, and all software except accounting and payroll, and all day to day issues. You’ll be asked to build, maintain, perform maintenance on servers using vsphere, network and phone systems, deal with antivirus and company phishing and security training. You’ll patch servers and pc’s. Build hardware, order hardware, setup Cisco phones, run fiber or cable, help with issues on automation lines, you’ll install third party routers and switches for specific and targeted communication to third party companies for automation lines. You’ll learn Cisco ISE and enforce that. Pretty much you will be a system admin getting paid 45k. It probably won’t even account for inflation at 7.9 %. Push for at least 58K or it is not worth the trouble.
