I am disappointed to hear that you had this type of experience at ATPCO. We always look to improve our employee experiences and several grassroots, employee-led affinity groups have formed recently to address issues that concern our staff. We would benefit from hearing your examples and if you wish to reach out to share your thoughts, please send me an email at odl-@atpco.net

Pros

ATPCO is a small and tight nest company, competitive benefits, good education reimbursement benefit. It offers job stability, if you are high performer. Management is flexible and supportive (speaking about my direct report) - will hear you out and show respect – value your opinion and input. ATPCO has a good vision and I believe it is trying to make some changes to be proactive and a leader in the industry it serves.

Cons

ATPCO has a decent share of employee with long employment tenure, which is great because they are knowledgeable and know their work well. However, some of them are having hard time sharing their knowledge without feeling threaten. People here do not seem to like change and in many cases, they almost refuse to change, passively. People is the most valuable assets in a company, they make things happen.

Pros

Flexible work environment People with great Travel Industry Experience Good benefits

Cons

This is a place where you can learn a lot about the airline industry and the people are great and experienced. But no one wants to change the processes be it IT or Product development team. It’s hard to say that you are learning something new in terms of technology or processes in fact I would say you will slowly forget what you have learned in years and become more laid back with the ATPCO work culture. Being an analyst on the PD team I have observed that even though you try to bring or throw ideas as how the much rotten processes they have and try to streamline it there is a lot of push back from the senior management. If you are ambitious and looking for growth this place is not for you. This place belongs to people who like to do the same thing same way forever. I observed a weird experience that people comment on your ethnicity and this comes straight from senior management specially for the work. There is no relationship of work and ethnicity of a person but be ready to face this when you plan to an offer at ATPCO. You are hired as a senior analyst but you are nothing more than a document writer as no one weighs to your experience or what value you can add to the team or processes. If you are looking for a travel industry experience in terms of 'business knowledge' this place is good for that but if you are looking for growth and latest lean processes this place sucks big time. There is no project management or planning be it ITS or PD. They know the meaning of it and use it with their titles but no practical implementation of it which is something new I have observed and they DON’T want to CHANGE the process.
