Pros

Long history and stable business model. Owned by airlines for airlines.

Cons

Identity crisis after purchase of Routehappy in 2018. Company was founded on distribution and pricing applications yet shift to airline retailing took center stage after the acquisition. Not a real negative but you cannot forgot about the foundation of the company mission either and that was done. Hopefully the new executive team will correct this.

Thank you for your comments regarding ATPCO's longevity and success. ATPCO has been a trusted industry partner for five decades. During this period, we have grown and evolved as a company to meet the needs of the industry we serve. The acquisition of Routehappy was part of that process of evolution to meet the future needs of the industry. While some additions and the changes they bring may seem overwhelming, it is done in the company's and employees' best interests. We understand it can seem like a massive shift, and we certainly appreciate the people and the foundation of ATPCO. As we continue to drive for sustainable success for the next 50 years, Staff is highly encouraged to provide their feedback and concerns to their managers or directly to our executive team.

Pros

* The CEO has been very communicative during the COVID-19 crisis and has encouraged employees to put their health/family's health/family life first. There is currently no expectation about returning to the office anytime soon - the company is focused on keeping the employees safe & healthy. * I've seen some unfavorable comments about the benefits, but I honestly think they're pretty good - the insurance is good & not super expensive and the PTO/sick time is great as a whole. 401k match is average. * There are some really nice people here - some of the best I've worked with in my career.

Cons

* The company is owned by the airlines and the travel industry has been decimated by the COVID-19 situation. The company's long-term viability is in question and employees are concerned about their jobs. * There is a palpable divide between long-time employees and new employees. People that have been at the company a long time are challenged by change and do not integrate well with newer employees. * Having mentioned the above comment about change, there is too much change happening in some orgs at this company in too short a period of time - those orgs are getting crushed by the constant change and people struggle to keep their heads above water. * There are some pretty difficult people here that are combative and appear to think they can behave however they want since they've been at the company for a long time. The environment can be stressful.

Thank you for caring enough to elaborate on your ATPCO Pros/Cons. For a small organization, we work hard to provide competitive benefits for a wide spectrum of employee needs. One point that struck me in your comments is that you mention you have worked with some of the best people at ATPCO. This certainly rings true to me and many others. While you have clearly built many good internal relationships, there are others that are not going so well. I encourage you to create a dialogue with your leadership about this. Perhaps you can figure our strategies for working with those who provide you with challenges. As to the long term viability of ATPCO , my perspective is a more positive. We provide a necessary service now and we will continue to provide solutions for the industry into the future. We have weathered many storms in the past and have created a resilient and forward thinking focus for our long term strategic goals and initiatives. When all is said and done, we embrace feedback because it makes us stronger as individuals and as a company. If you would like to share more of your ideas, I encourage you to reach out to me at odl-@atpco.net
