      Pros

      Great co-works, changing environment for AV, and lots of opportunities to learn and increase your education.

      Cons

      Corporate like any other has issues and needs to remember that employees are not stupid and need to do pay raises and bonuses.

We know that those are two key components of the best workplaces and we continue to find ways to provide those. We regret that you left feeling that your compensation didn’t align with your contribution. As the largest integrator in the industry, we do strive to find ways to remain competitive in the marketplace around compensation. However compensation involves many variables beyond just whether the company “makes money or not” and we try to balance all those variables to create an exceptional employee experience in many areas including pay.       Poor bonus structure, processes not followed/in sync across all offices, To much management turnover.

      We appreciate you providing your observations for others as they consider AVISPL as their next employer. Thank you for recognizing our efforts around compensation, work flexibility and employee development. We believe these are investments worth making in order to attract and retain the best workforce in the industry. We take your comments to heart about there being too much management turnover in your opinion. Across the company the turnover is actually below industry average, but we know that turnover in our leadership ranks impacts every employee at that branch. We have had many examples of promoting senior levels from within including our most recent promotion of a General Manager to a Senior Vice President role which then created opportunities for others in the management team. We agree that we need to continue to create more opportunities like that. Thank you again for your feedback.

      Great local culture, but corporate not so much

      Pros

      The local culture is great. Pay is ok

      Cons

      Corporate is more concerned with pennys and investors than the people or the culture. The processes are outdated and inefficient. Employees are expected to spend their own money for projects because procurement process is too slow and convoluted. Salaried employees are still required to record time sheets everyday all the way down to 15 min increments of time.

      Lots of good feedback here. Thank you for taking the time to share it. While we can’t comment on each item you raised, we believe each is important and encourage you to bring them up to your manager in the upcoming September Employee/Manager syncs. Larger issues like time-tracking and procurement are organizationally necessary as we try to accurately track and bill our time to maintain customer expectations and be good stewards to create a stronger company. We agree that one size does not fit all and have given our offices autonomy in various areas, while trying to maximize the benefits of being the #1 integrator in the industry. It is a balancing act for sure and we appreciate your continued partnership in getting better at it. Thanks again for your thoughts.
