      Pros and cons at AVI SPL

      Pros

      Good work atmosphere. Good support from office staff at both local and corporate level. Plenty of opportunity for training and advancement. Pay about on par with other companies in the area.

      Cons

      Health plan is adequate. PTO is OK. 401K is not matched, they do deposit money into the account but it varies in percentage and frequency.

      Pros

      My manager is incredibly supportive of my growth. There are lots of opportunities to advance my professional skillset here. Co-workers are smart and are always willing to help and teach me when I have questions. My salary is competitive in the field and I find myself passing up other job opportunities occasionally because of these things. My manager truly cares about me.

      Cons

      Health benefits are not as competitive as other employers, and costly.

      Pros

      I have been with AVI-SPL going on 14 years this year! I can' t say enough good things. If you are willing to work hard with great people (internally and externally) and love excitement, then this is for you. The sky is the limit and opportunities are limitless. We are a true customer/technology driven company! This company has taken care of more than just my family and I, but has allowed us to bless others as well!

      Cons

      The downsides, well I only have one. I don't believe that anyone should have to ask/beg for a raise. I'm a bit 'old school' and believe that if you are recognized for being a hard worker then you should be compensated accordingly. As the Word of the wise one says, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it." Proverbs 3:27
