      700+ suppliers, good preferred Marketing program, pay is fair

      Cons

      not ran like a nearly billion dollar company. Tiny Corporate support teams--Marketing, Sales Support, RFP Support. 31 offices in U.S., but not really a national presence

      Pros

      I enjoy the coworkers I have been working with. I also enjoy my day to day job working for AVI-SPL. It is nice this some extra PTO hours were added in 2018

      Cons

      I feel that my wage is lower than it should be. I am not a fan of the raise cap that has been put into place. The self review system is a joke and I would prefer to have an actual review with my manager. Health coverage cost has gone up yearly. This is hard to cover when I get next to nothing for a raise.

      Pros

      We are the largest company in our field of business. We represent an industry that is ever evolving. As AVI-SPL continues to expand, the company looks for more ways to benefit the employees.

      Cons

      We tend to operate in silos, seldom does one department have a clear idea of what other departments do or what their current ficus is, except maybe at the most general level. Upper management needs to get closer to employees at the working level so they can better understand what is important to them, beyond the typical pay and medical benefits level.
