Pros
I give high praise to my former coworkers and managers there. The original Elemental Technologies startup developed excellent products and services, found a good match in being acquired by AWS, and continuously improves its offerings as well as the way those offerings are developed and tested. Good benefits, free snacks, great downtown Portland location, and other nice perks, including a wonderful Friday Lunch guest speaker series. But the people I worked with there are the single best perk. Smart, friendly, and willing to do what’s best for the customer.
Cons
Hard to think of any negatives. The previous location at SW Broadway and Oak might have been a more fun area to work in, closer to the Pearl Dustrict and the food carts. But the new building at SW Broadway and Jefferson (the old Oregonian building) is much less cramped and closer to PSU, so it was a wash for me.
