On-job training courses. 1) They have a list of courses, and tried to force me to sign the paper that said I would pay them back $1000 if I left the company within a year of taking any of these training. 2) Their list had absolutely no courses that related to my skillset, my job, or my career path. They didn't care, they still wanted me to sign the paper. 3) I was blatantly told that I had to sign up because they needed the numbers to get a new contract (I didn't sign up as there was no benefit to me). 4) They insist these courses must be done in my own time and not at work. They these courses are specifically for my job then they should be done at work on work time. If I want to do a course for my own personal education then that should be done in my own time.
The HR department is the most unprofessional I have ever worked with. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. They do not walk you through any processes and you do not know what to expect.
