Bad coffee and mediocre cafeteria. -Extremely traditional corporate culture that feels like you’ve gone back in time 15 years. ***Mandatory 5 days in office starting in 2024*** -The funds in the 401k are limited and not great, considering Abbott employs 115,000 folks worldwide. -MLR process is so arduous that it’s nearly impossible to produce marketing materials that resonate with consumers. Competitors are kicking Abbott’s butt in this regard.

Executive leadership is just not trustworthy. Tons of lifers and older workers that won’t leave, so things like pay, promotions and RTO policies won’t change even while leadership deliberately tries to create attrition via bad policies. Boomers, Gen Xers, and early Millennials won’t unionize or leave, which essentially means everyone has to put up with bad policies.
