Reasonable pay, recognition for ad hoc projects.

Cons

No formal reviews, making promotion discussions rare/never. No formal development plans. Hideous office. Weak talent engagement and development opportunities. Toxic work environment: gossip, racism, sexism, etc. Do not value people unless you are a white male. if you are on salary they don't mind you working all hours. If you are hourly you are forbidden from working overtime if needed.

Not bad, but ominous feels afoot

Pros

Assured opportunities for work; opportunities being the key word. Prompt and exact pay; just stay on top of them when you enter your information.

Cons

I'd be as marketable as possible (ie, upskill myself) because, at the end of the day, I feel like cattle being auctioned off. The company/staff may not make me feel like that but the emails about available work (even if it doesn't apply to my position) definitely make me wonder about longevity. I've long only viewed this as a stepping stone but there've been developments that have bolstered my resolve to leave as soon as possible for something more secure.
