Pros

Flexible work hours, family friendly

Cons

Salaries are on the lower side for everyday busy bee workers. Not enough worker bee staff to get the job done. Top heavy with management.

Thank you for your review here. I appreciate the feedback. I am glad that you find us to be family friendly with flexible hours. We are doing work now with a compensation specialist to understand better how our compensation lines up with other similar positions at similar companies, and our early read is that you're right -- our salaries and hourly compensation at many of our locations today appears to lower on the scale than I am comfortable with for Access. This hasn't always been the case, but things have changed as we have grown and we have improvements to make here. Again, this information is fairly new and our analytic work isn't done, but we will be working on this throughout 2018 (and beyond, of course, as this is always a moving target). We just restructured much of the company last year to reduce "top heavy management", so I am not sure that I agree with that assessment, but understand that is how you feel and that you also feel we are generally understaffed in your area of collections. Since we just moved and restructured the entire accounting function, including a full systems and process improvement review, I am confident the improvements are well underway. Finally, thank you for the reminder to always express appreciation for your team members. That is sound advice and I will continue to coach our team to do so here at Access. Thank you, again, for you review, and thank you for all that you do for Access. I do appreciate you and your efforts. Best, Rob

Pros

The company truly tries to improve morale, and strongly encourages community interaction through volunteer work.

Cons

Benefits are not competitive, the company is growing way too fast, and standardization has taken a long time to reach the new markets. Executives are trying to standardize many areas of the operations divisions but there are way too many markets that still don’t know the access way.

Thank you for your time and the valuable feedback in your review. First, I appreciate you identifying that we connect with our community – all Access team Members are encouraged to participate in valuable community activities both individually and as part of company-sponsored events and projects that result in significant charitable donations of time, talent and dollars. 200 leaders met in Orlando last week and as a team we prepared and packaged over 54,000 meals for feed my starving children. We truly believe our community support makes us different and makes us better. I appreciate hearing that you don't believe our benefits are competitive. I really struggle with this item. Our goal is to provide benefit choices that are competitive and support our efforts to be a great place to work, and to that end we have made significant investments here. However, we still have not satisfied many team members. We started a 401k match 100% of the first 3% contributed by team members, we cover between 65% - 100% (depending on your total compensation) of family coverage for all team members on our HSA plan, we added two more flex holidays and that isn't the complete list, but that list alone represents a lot of benefits investments in just 2 years. The 401(k) matching alone is expected to be an additional $1.4M in 2017. We conducted another benefits survey just last month (I hope you participated!) as we continually seek feedback from our Team Members. I will share that the biggest issue for most people seems to be the "high" deductible on our HSA plan. I will look into how we may be able to address this item. Furthermore, you're right that better consistency and standardization across our operations is needed – unfortunately this is a result of the way we have grown by acquisition - with each acquired company doing things differently. This is a major focus of 2017. It won’t happen overnight, but we see it as a major opportunity. In addition to getting closer to the operation in the past four months after taking over COO responsibilities for our US Operations, one of my major personal goals has been to be a more "visible leader", so I take your feedback to heart about spending time with more non-exempt front-line team members. I will continue to travel to more of our facilities this year to meet with the team. I visited approximately 15 locations last year and met with many team members. Again, thank you for your review, we use this tool, and several others to address issues, identify strengths and weaknesses. This is one of the valuable tools that help us determine where we need to focus our energy as a company. Best, Rob

Thank you for this candid review. I am genuinely sorry that you feel that we have lied to employees or customers. I have never - and will never - support or promote anything of the sort and would act swiftly to address any actions along those lines. We value our Team Members and understand that we are only as good as our team. Regarding your comment about raises - we are working very hard to become an employer of choice and that includes improvements to our total compensation and benefits package. Last year, we researched market compensation rates to ensure we are paying competitively and to help recruit and retain the best talent possible for each and every Access branch. We also added 3 additional paid holidays this year - which is something I am glad to see was a "pro" for you. Further, in 2016 we have started creating career paths for the core business to allow for better advancement opportunities. Please know that this is a priority for us. Comments such as these allow us to identify areas of concern, making us a better company for our customers and our team members. Thank you, Rob
