Pros

No pros! This is a company strictly focusing on salaried employees. If you're not in that group. you are expendable and looked down upon.

Cons

Management is the worse I have ever ever worked with starting from all levels of the Executive Team to the Branch Managers. They have no compassion towards what you're going through both at work and in life. Its all about them. Dont let their company incentives fool you. They're geared towards the top level management team, pretending to appreciate everyone in the Team.

Thank you for your feedback. I realize that we are only as strong as our local management teams and, furthermore, we realize that developing our managers is a definite area of improvement for us. So, we are making a concerted effort to ensure our managers have the training, tools, and development they need to make Access a great place to work for every single team member, not just the exempt/salaried team members. As a result, we have invested in some core management fundamentals training for our leadership at all levels, which has already been rolled out in one region and will roll out across the country over the next few weeks. Our plan is to then carry this training forward in 2016 to each individual branch. I would like to point out that we do have a lot of incentives that are directly geared towards non-exempt/hourly team members, like covering 100% of family medical for team members making less than $30k per year, our Energized program that has helped many make significant improvements to team member health (some life saving) and our Tag Bonus program where we have recognized hundreds of team members this year, with over $25,000 in spot bonuses. Regardless, I understand that you feel differently and I am sorry that has been your experience at Access. As I said in another response and want to reiterate here to you, we are making other critical changes like building a values-based organization with lots of input from team members across the globe, and researching market compensation rates to ensure we find the best talent possible at every Access branch and compensate fairly for those positions. We are also creating career paths for the core business to allow for better advancement opportunities and will be rolling those out in 2016. Please know that this is a priority for us right now. Finally, if you’re interested in a confidential conversation with me directly, I am available and committed to making changes and continuous improvements to our organization, the work environment and our culture. You can email directly at ralston@accesscorp.com. Thanks, Rob

Pros

There is never a dull moment there. you always have work to do, and big projects right around the next corner. The sales team is pretty good. Management does have about 7 party's a year which are catered out. The old guard teaches you the tricks of the trade. Most of the team Members have been there for 5+ years. The company projects itself as transparent. How much of that is true is anyone's guess. Medical, dental, 401k.

Cons

Its dusty in there so either huff dirt all day or wear a dust mask. You cant smoke pot on days that end in y. That"s all I got....

If only we got paid by lip service!!

Pros

Small, yet rapidly growing company. Sense of being a known part of "the team".

Cons

All money is diverted back into Acquisitions & towards executives. Executives great at giving lip service to hard working employees that boost their numbers and praise their minimal "tag bonus" program where employees can get $25 or $50 dollar gift cards... Yet many employees salaries are sub-par and are not appropriately pro-rated for the markets they are in. For example, team members getting paid the same in Utah as members in Bay Area of California. If you want to operate in one of the most expensive places to live in the nation perhaps you should take into consideration the exorbitant costs your employees have to pay to simply drive to work and afford rent, the raises (when they come) are laughable which leads to someone working 5 years at the company and getting minimal increases... They tout they love their workers and admit that the companies success depends on a great workforce.... Appropriately compensating this great workforce apparently isn't Access policy.

Thank you for your very honest feedback. While we clearly have some improvements to make, some assertions you make simply aren’t true. First, I can say, for example, that none of the executives have “golden parachutes” at Access. Second, the Energized! Program was developed simply to improve the general health and wellness of the team. In fact, the initial idea was simply a weight loss contest, but it became much more than that as our planning developed and matured. When we launched the program, we had no idea there could be company cost benefits. The real benefits of the program have come in the form of team members taking better care of themselves, something that is really important to me. Our commitment to caring for the team members health is further illustrated by the improvements we made this year to our benefits package including covering a much larger percentage of family medical coverage and 100% of family medical coverage for many of our team members. In fact, it surprised us when our insurance carrier donated money to the program – after it was created and implemented – to help bolster and improve it. That said, with such great results and many team members taking better care of themselves, we could see a savings in our annual medical costs. However, that is a benefit for the individual team members and the company, not just the company. Plain and simple, the focus is on team member health and wellness, which is and always has been the vision for the Energized! program all along. So, we haven’t seen any improvement in insurance rates, but we are seeing a common theme that our team members enjoy the program and are reaping great benefits - some of which have been life changing. Moving on to wages, you are right that our wages haven’t remained competitive in some markets and specifically one market you mention, the Bay Area, is a place where compensation is highly competitive. As I mentioned in another review and want to reiterate here to you, we are researching market compensation rates currently to ensure our pay is competitive so we can recruit and retain the best talent possible at every Access branch. We are also creating career paths for the core business to allow for better advancement opportunities and will be rolling all of that out in 2016. We do take great care in designing our total compensation and rewards program (which includes TAG bonuses with $25 and $50 gift cards) that is not only generally market-competitive (aggregated across the company our current rates are 97.5% of market rates according to our research), but most importantly helps to show appreciation for our team members and to recognize their efforts. We are also making other changes, like building a values-based organization with lots of input from team members across the globe, to help make Access a better place to work and, hopefully, an employer of choice. Please know that I will pass this feedback along to our managers, so they have this insight. I invite you or anyone with concerns similar to this to reach out to me directly at ralston@accesscorp.com so we can talk about it. Team members are also welcome to do so anonymously, if preferred.
