Pros

This job helped me break out of the vicious "Can't get hired without experience, can't get experience without being hired" cycle. I actually really enjoyed everyone that I got to work with. First week of onboarding was done right. I got to learn a lot about the consequences of poorly-planned projects that emphasized short-term gains.

Cons

Developers were treated as a commodity. Long, pointless meetings. People fired abruptly. Technical debt through the roof. Low quality product that clients were stuck with and an aggressive sales team to trap clients into committing to it. Break room always ran out of snacks!!

Thanks for stopping by to provide feedback on your experience. I am truly sorry that it was not a positive one for you. The lack of good management that you experienced is not acceptable. We are investing heavily in our managers/leaders in order to become better people and company leaders. We've recently redone the food/snack program in our break rooms (no shortages now!) and increased the amount of money we spend on that. We will not rest until we become an enduringly great company. Here is a challenge for you (and I am sincere in this) - stay in touch with us and watch what happens as we continue to implement our programs. Perhaps you might want to rejoin at some point because, as you say, we have awesome people! Best regards, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer

Pros

Will give you a job outside your degrees norms Coworkers are generally smart Open PTO (use it)

Cons

The low pay will probably haunt you for your next several jobs due to the lack of bargaining power you have when moving on and trust me you'll be moving on. It seems a bit cliquey. Other than open PTO the perks are a pittance compared to what you will get elsewhere.

Best of luck in your next role. We continue to work on making Accruent an enduringly great company. Our progress on compensation, benefits, career paths and development, and our overall People Strategy is encouraging and ongoing. Of course, we do it all to build a great company, with a great culture, that generates great results for our customers. I've posted updates on numerous posts giving factual data on our progress. I'll continue to be transparent about that. Best, Wayne Roberts Chief Operating Officer

Pros

They are working on the culture and values so, hopefully that might change things. Benefits are getting better.

Cons

Management, Lots of growing pains, Commission structure is set so very few actually make money since quotas are out of reach for most.
