Great People, But Leadership Is Driving the Company Downhill

Pros

The people. Outside of the C-suite, the teams are full of talented, supportive individuals who are genuinely great to work with.

Cons

It’s sad to see how quickly the company has gone downhill. Leadership frequently changes direction, creating constant confusion internally and for customers. The focus seems to be on selling as much as possible rather than addressing the reality that the technology itself needs significant improvement. The interview process also tends to paint a much rosier picture than the reality once you join. The high employee turnover reflects this.

-Open PTO, great medical, dental vision. 401K match. Bonus plans -Mostly remote company -Tenured employees below senior level management -Work-life balance used to be good , but progressively started to blur the lines

Cons

-C-Suite was a revolving door -Lay-offs happen in bulk every single holiday season -Heavy off-shore development -Restricted career growth if moving from IC to management

Some of the most talented engineers I've worked with in the last decade. Lots of space for growth and opportunity to tinker and innovate in-between regular work

Cons

Upper management (VP, SVP, Pres, etc.) have a strong top-down management style and tend to be blind to the negative impacts that has on engineering.
