The Advocates work is seasonal, with busier times than others, based on recruitment, enrollment, and assessments due per Head Start Standards and State licensing. For instance, there are 30, 45, and 90-day assessments, vision, hearing, and health screenings that must be completed. To ensure the wellness of the children we serve, we must abide by these requirements and timelines.
We like to promote from within. With the promotion of staff into managerial roles, they may not have supervisory experience under their belt. We recognize this and have developed a training series for all managers that is currently being rolled out called the Leadership Workshop Series.
