A Caring Culture

Pros

I'm no longer at the company but the thing I can say is that this team genuinely cares about each other and the local community. While there I personally was involved in 3 philanthropies and that was in the matter of 6 months. Not common these days.

Cons

Fast paced, very high energy and competitive. Not for everyone but it'll bring the best out in you if you embrace it.

Weird cult-like company

Pros

- they have a nice office I guess? - the entry level role is a sales position. If you like sales, there might be the potential to make good money.

Cons

- applied for their entry level "marketing," role and was hired quickly. Went through 3 interviews and it took going through a weird three days of training to finally learn the job was selling phone plans in Costco - You have to dress business professional every day and go into the office, just to change into a Costco shirt - Every office meeting started with the CEO just yelling profanities with a "just go do it attitude"

Dear Reviewer, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. During our three-part interview process, we explain our company, our clients, the duties of this position, and the career opportunities. In early March, our leadership team implemented a one-on-one meeting as part of the onboarding process. We apologize if you or other individuals were offended by the way the meeting was conducted. We recognize the meeting's purpose was filled with excitement about the future. However, we did not think the language used would be offensive. We do know the preemptive statement about profanity being used may not have been heard. Since this is the first we are hearing about this causing concerns from a previous employee on Glassdoor, we will make sure it is addressed moving forward. While we're always striving to do the right thing, there will always be areas in which we can improve. We hear you and we will consider your feedback as we move forward. Pros

When I first started, I was impressed! Beautiful building, great location, seemingly nice people. However, that fades if you're at all aware and observant. You start out as a base and then quickly move up to "trainer" which you DON'T get paid extra for, and are given a team to manage. You're a manager with the SAME pay as the people you're bringing in!! No.

Cons

Everything. You're expected to attend morning meetings where the give you a super long pep-talk and make you feel good and then you spend the rest of the time going over what you already know. It's really repetitive and annoying. The pay is super low - $10 an hr UNLESS you sell more than $400 a week in products (which is sell phones at Sam's Club and Costco and BJ's - Those annoying people that bombard you as soon as you walk in the door just trying to get groceries). These things are NOT made clear during the hiring process. I asked MULTIPLE times what exactly I'd be doing and was given responses like "we work with top providers in box retailers to provide an experience unlike all others to the customers". Fancy, I know. I was intrigued. But it's all a scam. PLEASE listen to these reviews. We're telling the truth. Acquire regularly asks its brainwashed employees to post reviews to help combat the bad (truthful) ones. I didn't listen - it was a mistake.

Dear Reviewer, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. As is common with all of our employees, Acquire takes the time to conduct three separate interviews over the course of 48-96 hours. During that time, all offerings are covered, including travel, benefits, and compensation (which would also include time grace periods to receive those benefit options). We can read that you feel this was not made clear to you, and we will take this into consideration and our hiring practices moving forward. For your reference, Glassdoor offers the feature for employers to invite employees to write reviews about their experience! We understand right now is a hard time for many Americans with the pandemic. With this unexpected crisis, many businesses, much like ourselves, are faced with hard decisions, which includes employment. We expect this time is difficult for many of our prior employees who were laid off during this time. Though your experience was not what we would like to read about, we appreciate your feedback and wish you felt comfortable to approach either the management or administrative team to express your concerns. We wish you the best during this time and in your career search. Acquire Human Resources Department
