Pros

Great company where you get to be your own boss. You get to make your schedule, and can work where/ when you want. There’s no micromanaging and you get to travel as much as you’d like. Don’t get the job done? Let you supervisor know and they’ll move it to another week if possible.

Cons

The pay rate you’re told isn’t necessarily true. You’ll make $14-$16 an hour, but most jobs take less than 30-45 minutes to complete. Expect the majority of your pay to come from the $9 an hour you make while driving and doing supplemental work (logging time, filling out paperwork, etc.) I was driving almost 2 hours for jobs that took 15 minutes, then driving 2 hours back to do 4 jobs in my area. So in those days, I was getting paid $9 for 4 hours of my day, and $14 an hour for the 15 minutes the job took. Also, be prepared to head to the same location for the same job multiple times. Locations will lose or throw away products and then get upset with you for bothering them about it. Actionlink and those in management roles within the company are great, however, I can’t say the same for most of the managers in the stores I visited.

Pros

They will hire nearly anybody for the field as long as they have a car, smartphone and internet.

Cons

Cheat you out of OT. Blacklist people. They give bad recommendations. Terrible management. Underpay everyone and expect nothing but top-notch work. Field reps are way underpaid and are expected to wear out a $40k vehicle with no compensation for it. It actually costs them money to work for ActionLink. ActionLink is continuously being sued for their lack of ethics. Many people employed to cover the President's personal indiscretions. Most good Glass Door reviews are written by the Field Managers. It is a required duty because their score was way too low. That is why they all use the same rhetoric.
