I don't find insurance super interesting

Any entry-level position under the services umbrella is overworked and underappreciated, billing doubly-so. Work volumes have been trending upward at a rapid pace for years while we continue to be understaffed. The company will continually ask you to perform additional tasks outside your job description and will cut into your time with meetings that do not apply to you where they praise other departments for your hard work and they will still expect you to finish a whole day of work. You will sit back and watch departments with much smaller workloads get praised and compensated far better than you or your direct coworkers. They do want you to, or let you know where to go to negotiate a better raise when it comes to your annual compensation meeting. They will tell you over and over that cost of living is considered when your raise is calculated and then come up short while you watch other departments with smaller workloads receive higher raises for worse performance appraisals. The people from those other departments will treat you very poorly and get away with it. Basically, if you could pay your rent with thank you's and empty appreciation, you might still come up short each month, but you'd be closer than with the monetary compensation they provide.
