Pros

Industry-leading benefits include comprehensive healthcare, 401k with 8% match, and vacation (not PTO) accrued increases with industry longevity. Wideband salary ranges can accommodate various levels of competence and experience. Employees are given a significant level of autonomy and are not micromanaged. Minimal management layers, typically a direct report and general manager.

Cons

Underdeveloped strategies for dealing with team member absences, whether due to vacation, temporary illness, or LTD. This can overload the remaining team members who must take on those additional responsibilities. This factor is potentially significant given that staffing tends to lag market growth in the industry in general. Additionally, claim duties and responsibilities to customers, vendors, management and automated systems in place to perform activities, record data, document activities and develop action plans and strategies can be overwhelming. This contributes to a culture of overwork and competition within work teams, with those generating the greatest levels of production essentially setting the bar for the rest. Antiquated secondary backup systems to maintain work flows
