Pros

Acuity emphasizes the employee experience (great benefits, perks, and facilities), which in turn results in a unique culture. Employees are positive, which makes working with others more enjoyable (nearly everyone I see greets me with a smile and hello even when I was a new employee). Leadership is very accessible and willing to connect. The company provides several outlets to listen to their employees, which results in implemented suggestions involving the employee experience. By far the best part of working for Acuity is the people. Ultimately, the people make the place, and it makes coming to work much easier when you enjoy your colleagues. Work life balance at Acuity may be as good as it gets. If you want to clock in and clock out (40 hour weeks on average), make good money for the time you worked and receive great benefits, Acuity is as good as it gets. Acuity has been ranked for its unique corporate headquarters. It has a 27,000 sq ft. fitness center, 45 foot rock climbing wall, subsidized cafeteria, and other unique features. It is enjoyable working in that environment. Acuity recently added a work from home policy allowing more flexibility.

Cons

Acuity is very transparent and provides outlets for making suggestions, however, these suggestions are typically only implemented if they have to do with the building, the property or a familiar Acuity process. If the idea is something Acuity has not done prior in the business setting, it is an uphill battle to be taken seriously regardless of your expertise. We have not been surveyed as a company in awhile, so I wonder how employees are enjoying their individual experiences (manager, growth opportunities, job satisfaction). 360 feedback is important as Acuity grows, and there are no current processes in place for doing so.

Pros

Great pay for area Great 401k (at this time 8%, but usually give 2-2.5% bonus at end of year) HSA card with $3000 on it to pay the $4000 deductible (this is if on family plan) Five year club (during first 5 years they pay for new employees to go do stuff in town with other employees) Occasional free breakfast or lunch Seemingly very stable Nice gym

Cons

Employees are supposed to have flex time to be able to take off whenever they want for whatever they want, but my manager does not allow that. Only allows for appointments and such. Most teams in the company are more flexible than this. Some managers micromanage while others are pretty hands off.

Pros

Where most companies just say they care about employees, management strives every day to show it. Good pay, great benefits, and an incredible working environment.

Cons

Paid lunch hour would be nice (really not much to complain about).
