Pros

The atmosphere and culture in our office is wonderful. We all get along and help each other out. On a regional level, if you know who to contact for assistance, by and large that contact will resolve the issue or refer you to additional personnel.

Cons

Compensation.....no raises have been given in years. Most employers in the area pay more per hour as a starting wage than our employees make. Employees receive nothing at Christmas...doesn't have to be much, just something.

I truly like APG and am lucky to be here. I believe in the type of journalism we do and the mission we stand for, and am encouraged by the decisions made at the top more often than most.

Cons

You likely receive a lot of the same feedback any time something like this goes out — It would be great if raises existed outside of increasing responsibility. I feel very blessed in my position, but I also know it is my ceiling unless someone else gets laid off and I take on a new/increased role. It would be really nice to feel the recognition and value that comes with longevity.
