Pros

You get paid - sort of

Cons

The pay is horrible, employee hours have been cut for months, pto accrual has been cut along with hours, there are a lack of resources, and ownership doesn't care about journalism. This is the worst place I have ever worked at as a professional.

Pros

There are no pros to working for this company.

Cons

I had high hopes after we were bought out by APG but quickly realized we went from bad to worse. I should have known when the on boarding from HR felt like we were getting in line for slaughter. Very sad. Not welcoming at all. You are just a number to them. They don’t care about you as a person. Upper management continually comes up with products to sell hoping something sticks, we look pathetic to our customers. The vibe is a continual fire sale. Look at the other reviews and believe what they say. Most of upper management are from other corporate papers nationwide, they are essentially destroying a formerly locally owned business.

Pros

The people at the individual offices.

Cons

Benefits are horrible, might as well get state insurance. Garbage management. Publisher is intentionally running it into the ground, or at least appears to be. Two lay reductions during a global pandemic I asked for remote work while I searched for an affordable place and was terminated. HR is not for the employees but for the company. Absolutely no help there. Corporate limited EDITORIALS
