Only the bottom line matters to CEO's

Pros

Great co-workers, nice facility, center management cares a lot about employees and clients.

Cons

The CEO's in charge and the people underneath them only care about the bottom line. Employees' hours and salaries are cut with only days notice. Full-time salaried employees find themselves part-time. Employees are promised promotions then have them yanked away and are demoted with only one or two days notice. Programs and clients are brutally slashed. CEO's get upset with anyone who complains about having lost a living wage. Human Resources is non-existent, so there is nobody to help. Employees are on eggshells waiting to see who is next on the chopping block.

Problematic

Pros

Hours were pretty flexible; reimbursement for mileage was nice.

Cons

The company is very disoganized and upper management was almost always absent, leaving staff to handle often dangerous situations alone, only to be reprimanded later for not adhering to protocol that was never clear in the first place. Client cancellations often lead to last minute schedule changes for staff and difficulty maintaining a work-life balance. Management was inexperienced and left grasping at straws with huge caseloads and overwhelmed subordinate employees. To do everything "right"--as in, to respond to situations and treat clients exactly as upper management would have it--is absolutely impossible. Safety training is severely lacking, leaves employees with no room for error and guaranteed failure and client training is incredibly superficial and about fulfilling state requirements rather than actually learning how to work with clients.

Pros

This section is not applicable.

Cons

If you express your feelings about the treatment of the clients or the management itself, you will be able eliminated. If you stand up for yourself in anyway, you will be stepped all over. I saw many good employees and people get screwed for advocating for themselves and the clients.
