Pros

This is a great place to get started in your career as a recruiter. They provide you with all the tools you will need as well as good feedback. If you are recently out of college, you will be surrounded by lots of people your age. This could be a good or bad thing come to think about it.

Cons

This is a very sink or swim type culture. If you get on a larger team, there is little room for one on one training, so get used to figuring out a lot of things by yourself. Scummy the way I was let go during Covid. I asked about furloughing so I can get back on the team when the market turns around, I was told "Addison Group does not furlough people." Come to find out several people on our team got furloughed and has since returned to the office. Wish they would've just been straight up with me instead of lying.

We appreciate your having taken the time to write a review. Obviously, we do not know the details of your particular situation and exit from the company. That said, as you have conceded, Addison Group has a strong, performance-based operating philosophy and culture. The pandemic’s arrival was a necessary moment to reassess all of our people and needs. Given its impact, we furloughed some high performing field and support team individuals, and have now brought all those people back as market demand returned. We regret if there was any misunderstanding about that process, and wish you all of the best in your new pursuits.

Pros

- no commission cap - schedule your own meetings, control your day - friendly workplace - great teams! - great bonus plans even before you're on commission

Cons

- your experience can differ depending on what vertical you're in- I love my vertical but I understand not every management style is the same - It can be a grind, you get what you put in and sometimes less than you put in. The first year is the toughest, but if you work hard and put in the extra hours your first couple years it get easier and you start to see more wins -sometimes you work hard on a deal to have it fall through- there's many factors in recruiting and many of them are out of your control. It can be disappointing when a client pulls out at the last minute or your candidates are flaky. This happens and is the nature of the job. If you can ride out the losses the wins are worth it!
