Pros

Admin and therapist were nice people

Cons

Management was toxic and intimidating. They're watching you on cameras, always, especially when you first start there. They wont allow you to share your salary with colleagues because everyone is getting paid vastly different amounts. Raises were yearly and were a measly dollar. You’ll be given specialized tasks to differentiate you from the other admin, but never receive any additional compensation for it. During Covid they cut the entire staffs wages, but still expected them to work full time, and then the owners went and bought million dollar houses and new boats later that year.

This review is totally inaccurate and written by someone trying to be vindicative and spoil our reputation on purpose. It’s pretty sad that someone would actually reference the COVID crises of 2020 in a 2024 review. I am proud to say that since its founding, Adler Therapy Group has created over 160 new jobs in the Hampton Roads area. Pros

The biggest pro of working here was the relationships formed with coworkers. At the beginning of employment, this company felt like a second family. We had fun with sporting teams, seasonal company parties and employee recognition. There is also room for growth within the company. When you work hard, you are compensated with opportunities to move up and take on new job roles. You are rewarded for meeting goals and working hard.

Cons

-Very little PTO. Your sick and vacation time is a total of 2 weeks for the entire year. -The pay is not standard and people in similar roles were compensated very differently while being told from management that you can’t share with your coworkers what your wage is. -Upper management and admin could feel cliquey at times and it could cause some employees to feel uncomfortable sharing private information in fear it would be shared with other employees. -Admin was pushed to make decisions on the therapists schedules that would cause discomfort for therapists and the patients (reducing paperwork time, adding multiple evaluations a day to one therapists work load, pressuring parents to reschedule at times that felt inappropriate) -Upper management would ask for feedback on policy and benefits but nothing ever changed.

I am a little confused with this review as the PRO”s reference company and compensation growth while these are also mentioned as CONS. Seems very inconsistent. Anyone who works hard and does a good at ATG will receive opportunities for career growth as well as increased compensation. In addition, as a provider of skilled therapy services (physical, occupational, and speech therapy), we must follow medical insurance guidelines related to scheduling and paperwork. The reviewer failed to put this into context and address the role which our payers play in the therapy process. I would encourage anyone to review our on line reviews to read about the incredible experiences of our patients I will say that every decision, policy, and process we have at Adler Therapy Group is a directly result from feedback we receive from our team. To say that no one listens could not be further from the truth If you would like to work with an amazing team doing amazing things every day, feel free to contact me directly on my cell phone (757-472-2513).
