Pros

Mission Centered, patients first, top quality, staff care deeply about the patients and always put them first. Leadership has the best intentions and are there for the right reasons. An exceptional place to work, employees cared for holistically as are the patients.

Cons

Salary compared to similar positions is low. Leadership salaries are much lower than competitor organizations. Workload is heavy with many leaders managing multiple departments with minimal support from secretaries or associates.

Pros

The people - many of the employees have worked here for 25+ years. There is definitely a family feel and has been the reason why I have stayed for 5+ years. Most people here truly care for their patients and aim to do the right thing.

Cons

In my particular unit, many of the highly skilled and motivated RNs have left due to to our unit manager. She was unprofessional and unfair in several instances (for example talking about employees to other employees and dropping names). The patient load here is heavy and there is not nearly enough resources (i.e. CNA, resource nurse, etc).
