Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with our company. We appreciate both the positive observations about our compensation, benefits, and leadership team, as well as your candid insights about areas where we can improve. Regarding Sunday work, we want to clarify that this typically involves leadership addressing urgent matters and is not expected of all our team members. We recognize the importance of work-life balance and are committed to ensuring weekend work remains selective and properly communicated. Your feedback about team member transitions is valuable to us. We recognize that every situation is unique, and we work hard to ensure our managers and team members maintain continuous dialogue throughout their tenure. We're always working to enhance our performance management processes to provide clear expectations and regular feedback, recognizing that communication is key throughout your experience at Affinity. We're also strengthening our management coaching to ensure all team members feel properly supported and valued. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

Clear Vision & Leadership: The leadership team is transparent and has a clear vision for where the company is headed. There's a strong sense of shared purpose, and it’s genuinely exciting to be part of a company that is solving real problems and poised for future growth. Open, Feedback-Driven Culture: This is one of the best parts of working here. Management actively solicits feedback and, more importantly, acts on it. This commitment to continuous improvement creates a culture of trust and makes you feel like your voice truly matters. Opportunities for Growth: I have been able to work with a wide variety of technologies, which has been incredible for my professional development. The work is always engaging and provides constant opportunities to learn new skills, which keeps me motivated.

Cons

As the company and engineering team have scaled, cross-team communication can be challenging at times. Managing cross-cutting concerns that affect multiple teams requires significant coordination, which can occasionally slow down development velocity. It's a natural challenge for any organization, and its good to see steps being taken in the right direction.

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear that the company’s vision and shared purpose are resonating with you, and that you’re finding the work both engaging and growth-oriented. Creating a feedback-driven culture where people feel heard is one of our top priorities, and it’s great to know that this is showing up in your experience. We appreciate your insight on cross-team communication and coordination. As you noted, these are common growing pains, especially as teams scale and take on more complex, interdependent work. We're actively working on improving collaboration across functions and reducing friction where possible. Thanks again for your feedback and for being part of the team helping to shape Affinity’s future.

Pros

The leadership team is thoughtful, transparent, and has a clear vision for where the company is headed. The product itself is genuinely exciting with massive potential, and it's great to be part of a company that's solving real problems. The people here are one of the best parts — smart, humble, and always willing to collaborate and support one another. The culture is open and feedback-driven, and there’s a strong sense of shared purpose.

Cons

Engineering velocity has been impacted by accumulated tech debt over time, which can slow things down. That said, there are a lot of initiatives currently in motion to address this and improve the pace of development. Cross-team alignment can be a bit challenging at times, but it’s something that’s being acknowledged and worked on.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We're glad to hear that the leadership team's vision, transparency, and the overall sense of purpose at Affinity are coming through in a meaningful way. It’s also great to see your recognition of the product’s potential and the collaborative, feedback-driven culture we work hard to maintain. We appreciate your candid input on tech debt and engineering velocity. Our new CTO is focused on these areas. Active initiatives are underway to accelerate the development pace and reduce friction. Those improvements enabled higher velocity in Q2, for example, as we shipped a record number of high-impact product improvements. Similarly, we're continuing to refine our approach to cross-functional alignment as we grow, and your feedback reinforces the importance of that work. Thank you again for your contributions and for helping us build something meaningful together.
