As a growing company, change is part of the equation. We understand a volume of change can be alot to process regardless of your level. I would encourage you to speak with your leadership team or HR, share your concerns and work proactively with them to help find solutions.

Pros

opportunity for overtime, set schedule, regular hours, "employee appreciation" pizza parties. you will gain so much weight by how many pizza parties they have. (part of the compensation package). large lunch room with stupid expensive vending machines. lots of fridge space and a keurig coffee machine but you need to bring your own if you dont want to pay out the wazoo for them in the machine. a major pro in this line of work is that people are calling in because they are up poop creek without a paddle and you get to figure out how to get them the help they need. at least once a day, youll have someone tell you how you legit and very literally saved their life. that feeling never gets old.

Cons

more often than not tons of mandatory overtime. fast burnout, when doing 4+ hrs ot every week its manageable but when you have to commute 1+ hrs each way to work its absolutely insane over time. if you can find more effective ways of doing things or question unreasonable comments (is backhanded jokes and other such bs) youre labelled as a troublemaker. they brag about their shift differentials, but be sure to check your paychecks as it wasnt there. the first time i worked with this outfit, the differentials reflected on paystubs but the second time, they were never there. after speaking to hr about it they assured me that it was and it never was. it wasnt their fault but it was also never investigated. i never pursued it because i felt like it was a waste of time. hr was on point for the few issues i had otherwise and no other complaints there. cross training. i get it that business needs require cross training but its half baked and sorely inadequate. the first time i worked for this outfit, they had dedicated agents and departments that also resulted in a pay increase. the second time around there was no such increase with cross training unless you were specifically hired for that department or promoted into it as a dedicated agent. all of the guff and drama for entry level wages. promotions, they have openings all the time and arent kidding when they tell you to apply even if you dont perfectly fit the requirements. if you have no problem playing politics and around the water cooler BS for the long game, youll be fine. if you have any kind of integrity or pride in your work, its not worth the stress. over time it will seriously take a toll on your physical and mental health. if you like those types of games and BS youll do great. management. the company overall is a good company and the senior management actually seems to care about their employees and not just their consumers. the sire overall seems ok but where you find a huge disconnect is at the agent/team/immediate supv level. not all the supvs are bad managers. there are some amazing ones. when i was there it was about half and half and it can be really hard to not tell jerk wads to keep their bad attitudes to themselves so that it doesnt reflect on the services towards the members. just give us the direction we need and let us do our jobs.
