Pros

Management really understands if comes to requesting a day off. Easiest job ever, but is frustrating that goals are never met. Co-workers are easy going.

Cons

Job is really boring. Working in a red light for 12 hours. 12 hours shifts. Co-workers complain all the time. No solid training got hired for one thing but ends up working on different projects instead.

Limiting Potential: Struggling to Thrive in this Environment

Pros

The presence of highly skilled individuals fosters collaboration and the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry. The company offers flexible working hours, allowing employees to strike a better work-life balance and tailor their schedules to suit personal needs. This flexibility enhances job satisfaction and overall well-being. In addition to flexible working hours, AGFA embraces the option to work from home, providing employees with the freedom to choose a suitable and comfortable workspace. This remote work policy has been particularly valuable during times of unforeseen circumstances, ensuring continuity and productivity.

Cons

There is a high turnover rate of very skilled employees due to poor leadership and career opportunity. Working in this environment has been extremely toxic and has taken a toll on my mental well-being. The lack of positive leadership and a clear long-term vision has been demotivating, making it difficult to find purpose in working for AGFA. One of the major issues is the absence of proper training and defined career goals, which has hindered professional growth and development. The HR department's approach has left employees feeling mistreated and has contributed to an overall psychologically unsafe workplace atmosphere. Furthermore, the frequent layoffs each year have added to the uncertainty and instability, creating an unsettling work environment. I believe it's crucial for the company to address these pressing concerns promptly to retain and motivate its employees effectively. A supportive and nurturing workplace is essential for both individual growth and the company's success.

Pros

Working on large format inkjet printers was very unique and interesting experience especially being part of the software team. -Great people -Laid Back Atmosphere -Diverse work experience

Cons

Upper management lost sense of direction. Frequent change of priorities lead to delays in software releases. Blaming software ( software team ) for all issues related to printers. There is obvious disconnect between teems in Mortsel, Belgium and Mississauga Canada going as far as competition, what probably lead to recent large layoffs.
