In a state of flux

Pros

The employees are great to work with! Some really good people work here in San Bernardino

Cons

In a state of extreme change after rapid growth and corporate executive turnover. In San Bernardino everyone is expected to perform way outside and above their job title or job description and not to be compensated for it. Lots of overtime hours all the time. In the process of implementing Lean Six Sigma and everyone knows how LSS feels about people. They are just numbers.

Pros

Let's face it, anything aviation is neat, anything medical is pretty neat. Bring em together, and it's pretty awesome. Most of the hospital and EMS staff you come in contact with are amazing, the crews and the pilots are awesome people and the local business development people are always available to help. The company embraces SOME incredibly cutting edge technology.

Cons

Orders come all the way from the top, and most of the time, largely don't make very much sense when it comes to day to day operations at bases, sorta like someone is looking at the big picture, but doesn't see the small details that need addressed. Many employees are... well, lets just say this: It's much easier to run a motivated and hard worker into the ground than it is to motivate someone lazy. A significant amount of folks "forget" how to do certain things when doing something is inconvenient to them. As a result, there's a high turnover of "good people." While a bunch of micromanagy sort of policies that are supposed to be all encompassing come down the chain, if you ask for specification there's a distinct silence from anyone above "middle" managment within the company.
