Salary is too low; hence the need to do overtime! Mechanics aren't paid enough. Some managers give pressure to fly (even if they act like they don't).

Short staffed and employees are overworked and tired. I started as entry level and every time I promoted my position was not backfilled due to “not having the headcount available”. Ultimately, ended up doing three peoples jobs on top of other duties outside of my job description. Starting work at 6am and not finishing until about 9pm just so we wouldn’t fall behind in my department went unappreciated and concerns unheard. After 8 months of complaints I finally just had to quit. Then I was offered the support needed to help maintain a better work/life balance. I declined as it should not take eight months of asking for help with the workload. It took my giving a notice to make some actions happen. Turnover is extremely high and not worth making work friends cause they will all quit and move on. Even employees being there 10+ years just up and leave due to lack of staffing. But company will spend lots of unnecessary money on other projects and things when if we train and run our departments correctly we will be financially stronger instead of putting band-aid fixes and coughing up $100k+ each time.
