Pros

A forward looking organization with decent benefits. A great work schedule with ample opportunity for overtime. With the exception of a few older aircraft in the fleet, most of the equipment is very modern with up to date avionics and safety equipment. There are a wide variety of bases to chose from and the company is not against changing a base once you have been with them for a while. The benefits package is decent with a college tuition assistance program. Most of the pilots seem to be prior military aviators with extensive experiance with NVGs.

Cons

The pilots participate in a union where as the medical crewmembers do not. Medical staffs seem to have a high turnover as there are complaints with pay and scheduling. A recent change in payroll processing has caused some turmoil however the bugs are slowly being worked out and HR is quick to work with those who have had problems during the transition.

Pros

Solvent, stable company. Upgrading the fleet with new aircraft and equipment. Up until recently, always got paid properly and on time.

Cons

My job has very little to do with flying anymore. Most of the duty time is filled by doing jobs that people in Corporate were hired to do. Most of the offices in Denver have insulated themselves from their responsibilities and placed them squarely on the worker bees. Pilots, mechanics and medical folks spend their days making reports and tracking information that department heads in Denver were hired to do. HR is probably the most useless department in the whole company. Not only do they hire some of the most undesirable employees, they do nothing to correct the problem when the need arises. Plenty of management, no leadership!!!

Pros

Reasonable schedule.Okay benefits.Work can be satisfying and challenging. Great co workers and fellow aviators.

Cons

Pay for my level of experience is poor.Have to put in O/T to make ends meet.Poor middle management leadership.Blame culture sustains the company.Trying their best to run operations as cheaply as possible and yet they boast of great strides in safety. Too many Chiefs overseeing a very dedicated but fast burning out bunch of Indians.Upper management constantly takes fat bonuses and stock options but won't give a raise to their employees even though the company made money in the worst of economic times. If it weren't for the pilots' union we would be at the mercy of HR.Outdated pay and accounting system.Poor IT support.Too much workload on the frontlines just to make life easier for people up the chain.
