Pros

Working from home, great front line team members that save lives.

Cons

Very top heavy... Sr. VP, VP, Sr. Director, Director, Regional Director, RAM, RAA, RAD, RAM, Area Managers.... too many layers of management for a company this size. Upper management thinks it is better to shut down a base with no notice than to be upfront with the employees!!!

Pros

- Rewarding work taking care of patients - Decent 401K - Potential* transfer options throughout most of the country - Good initial training

Cons

- Terrible management cliques, favoritism, and retaliation. - Most front line employee feedback/concerns either ignored or turned against the person. - Having to navigate company "policies" that either change without notice, or are selectively enforced (see favoritism). - Managers often abrasive and target line level employees with unwarranted scrutiny and are only rewarded by fellow management and never held accountable when in the wrong. - Terrible gender and clinical speciality biases present (medic vs. nurse). Turnover is high for nurses because they treat them poorly and pay them poorly.

Pros

Clinically rewarding, skill level equal to flight nurse.

Cons

Not compensated for the skill and responsibility level. Turn over is above 50%. Not paid OT for over 40 hours a week, No FLSA pay, unless your on a flight during night hours (productive time, actual work time >40 hrs vs non productive time = sleep time 8 hours per shift ) per the Railroad Act classification they changed to. Decreased vacation accrual, decreased medical benefits this year to 80/20, same 90/10 rates, extremely high deductibles. Missed raises some years, 2% raises some years. Some staff making far above pay range then others with more experience and time in company.
