Concerns For Safety

Pros

Great autonomy, providing care in a helicopter is exciting. Very unique nursing role.

Cons

I do not believe the company is dedicated to safety of the patient or staff. While there is no pressure to take a flight, in my opinion the equipment, training or culture does not demonstrate a safe attitude. I was also concerned of the quality of patient care.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Good place to work while looking for another job, starting a business, or thinking about another career.

Cons

The work schedule and work life is very much like "Groundhog Day". Too many managers to even remotely keep track of. You have pretty much zero responsibilities outside of flying the aircraft and making sure it is clean. Do not expect to be fulfilled or inspired by your day to day activities. There is no incentive to go above and beyond the scope of your normal duties because absolutely no one above you will notice. I don't think there is much room for advancement, I've never seen any job postings that would offer such an opportunity or met a manager who has even described a way to advance despite announcing interest multiple times. It's probably very similar to how a factory worker or 1950's coal miner feels. Show up, get paid, move on.

Pros

If you are an intelligent selfless person who loves to work for arrogant fools, this is the place for you!

Cons

Executive Leadership are nothing but Money Grubbers focused solely on themselves and shareholders. Middle management are 2 faced oxygen thieves taking up space. Safety is nonexistent run by incompetent clowns. The training department is a complete joke, understaffed, and can't make decisions or decide what to do.
