Pros

I joined Airtable in 2021 and have been with the company through many organization and product changes. One thing that has been consistent over the years is the collaborative nature of the people, always willing to act with urgency and cross boundaries of on-paper job responsibilities in order to help a teammate solve a pain point. With the builder mentality engrained in the team, I feel that I can get things done at Airtable.

Cons

Like a lot of companies that operate on a remote-first basis, Airtable struggles to execute efficiently. While we get the job done, it's often through chaotic communication and tons of direct slack messages. This can leave me feeling frustrated and stressed out, trying to relay decisions.

Pros

- Airtable product is strong and solves tangible use cases, huge potential - We're encouraged, coached, and taught how to use our products, and we use it in every area internally. (Hackathons, dedicated discovery time). - Lot's of smart, motivated peers who want to solve real problems - Culture encourages collaboration and long-term thinking - You’re trusted to run your domain and drive outcomes, not just execute - Feedback loops and cross functional prioritization are healthy in many pockets of the org - Cross-functional partners are often open to evolving how work gets done

Cons

Everyone’s working hard, and while it’s energizing, it can get exhausting if not paced or managed. Recognition awards are infrequent (every 6 months), but they're taken seriously and winning is worthwhile. More winners/chances to win would be inspiring.

Pros

1. Airtable moves quickly. This is a positive for staying ahead in the rapdily evolving AI market. And that is hard to do the bigger we become. 2. Airtable is full of GOOD people. Extremely collaborative, smart/good at their jobs, and positive attitudes. That's reall all you can ask for. 3. Selling/marketing a product you use every day and LOVE is such a value-add in B2B software. AND a product that customer area obsessed with doesn't hurt either. 4. Healthy budgets for marketing campaigns and for team travel. 5. Great benefits.

Cons

No company is a good fit for everyone. Airtable takes a specific kind of skill set and approach to be successful. Because we are agile and move quickly, this can be challenging for some. How to describe what Airtable is is an ongoing challenge.
