Pros

- Coffee, motorised standup desks and good office chairs. - Some good people there, stuck due to their personal situations. An invaluable lesson learnt!

Cons

I wish, I took these negative reviews more seriously...😒 Being born and raised in Australia, missed out on some of the horror stories from colleagues who have previously worked in 3rd world companies, this is your perfect opportunity to experience first hand... - Totally lacks Australian values and culture. - As part of on boarding you are asked to like all of company's social profile pages, follow them and write positive feedback, Seriously??? - Going through crazy growth, and majority of employees are new so no one has a clue. Everything is a priority. Deadlines can squeeze and you can be asked to deliver overnight! - It's an in-out factory, loads of talented people joining and leaving every week. - Company's image presented during the interview process and publicly is far from reality. - Lack of clarity on your role and responsibilities. - Most people appear rude and lack soft-skills. - Not family friendly, especially not people with kids. No flexibility and Extremely long hours(frequent midnights). Team meetings at 6pm??? 9am - 6pm is necessary and overtime generally is expected. - Increasing middle management adding to a lot of micro-management. - Speaking up is discouraged and looked down on. - Public shaming of employees is rather frequent and seemed common throughout the organisation. - Lack of process and inclination towards improvements and ever-increasing tech-debt. - Leads are hard to approach, narrow minded, set in their ways, egoistic and have absolutely no idea what leadership means. At best they are bad bosses. - "No autonomy", don't go with some older reviews as it is clearly not the case anymore.

Thank you for your review. There is a great deal to address in your feedback and it would be difficult for us to attempt to do that here. Some of the issues you have listed are known issues which we as a business are working to address, and some relate directly to being a high-growth business. Other comments are concerning as they are new to us and most confusing is your comment stating that you ‘quit’, as we are not aware of a member of the Engineering Team exiting the business in this fashion. We do acknowledge that we are attracting top talent to our business and are working hard to make the improvements required to ensure all employees are engaged and working at a desirable level of challenge. As a rapidly growing business, it is hard to meet everyone’s expectations immediately but there is a commitment from the leadership team globally to strive to do this. We have taken all your feedback onboard and are working with the wider team to ensure improvements to the employee experience are being made, and feedback such as yours is provided in a way that enables us to resolve it before anyone reaches a place where they feel they need to exit. We sincerely hope that you have found a new opportunity which meets your expectations.

It rolls downhill

Pros

There are smart and talented people working at the company that are a pleasure to work with.

Cons

The CEO and upper management create a soul crushing environment. Orders from the top have come down to mandate four days a week back into the office, if they could make people work 14 hour days they would. CEO thinks Australian teams are lazy and prefers overseas feature factories. Benefits have been stripped and salaries are below market. Upper management talks about increasing company size and hiring top talent while disillusioning current employees. Employee's requesting flexibility are expected to suck it up and pretend WFH isn't possible / never existed. Complaints are met with shallow responses such as "other companies are also doing this in the US" as though blindly following others doesn't make the policy any more of a regression. It's no coincidence these policy changes come at at time people its hard to find other jobs in tech. CEO puts time to market and appearances above all, including pesky things like regulation and compliance.

Cons

It's surprising how many things are going wrong in this company. - No real leadership - CEO is dismissive and ignorant of the culture issues - No work life balance whatsoever - Huge employee turnover - people dont last more than a couple of months - Severe burnout issues Avoid coming to this company if you want to lead a healthy life.
