A slightly vain, elitist institution that does not know how to maximize the potential of its people
Pros
A sprinkled few are very smart. A few years back it was a good community for people 2 - 3 years into their careers to learn from the more senior hires. You learn a bit from the few competent people that you work with. The company is good for early stage careers. Don't join if you're over 28 - it will be a flop.
Cons
Cliquey: ok I get it every office has its celebrities. But this office WORSHIPS the pedigreed (not necessarily valuable) people that it deems attractive, competent, or good for window dressing. People who are just there to work hard are ignored for their talents and excluded from the 'cool crowd'. Please bear in mind that for this company to continue to exist, just looking cool isn't gonna cut it. Poor values: Some members of leadership and founding team don't seem to have the heart for greater causes. They're very driven by money and status.
