Pros

People are generally happy and the aim is truly to help patients and families.

Cons

A lot of ‘that’s how it’s always been done’ mentality. Promotions based on seniority and not qualifications fuels this mentality.

Pros

ACH is great I recall when it used to be Rainbow Children's Hospital in the Akron area. They still remain committed to the children.

Cons

Have pure autonomy among the departments. I would like to see more diversity in leadership roles. More men in clinical leadership roles such as director of nursing or an African American female in a team lead in clinical laboratory or IT&S. This is a rarity in Akron and Canton areas. It is fairly common in Cleveland area hospitals but is cut very short in Akron and Canton why. I have seen and interacted with many diverse groups teaching but none are hired in this area?
