Fun part time college job, but no benefits

Super fun environment and coworkers. It's just a cool store to spend so much time in. The deals on products are huge, but these aren't offered through Al's itself. You just get access to them through the actual brand by working at a retailer that sells their products. In my department specifically I had really flexible hours.

Cons

Most of the department heads are great, but upper management is difficult. They are often indirect and inconsistent. "Benefits" are more patronizing than anything. The company tries to be a huge chain, but they are still just a 2 location business and the employees often make up the difference with tons of erroneous grunt work. Had to scratch and claw for raises, but they were handed out to others. Upper management cares much less about employees, but I guess that's typical. I mean its retail. Someone quit and was replaced about once a week.
