Pros

Great people to work with, work from home

Cons

Cons is the pay does not measure up to the work they had us doing at Alameda Alliance. The calls are back to back, being on hold with providers, outreaching to members to resolve issues, outreaching to ModivCare which is a horrible vendor for members transportation needs. You cannot live off the salary alone. They pay bilingual people more but when you’re taking calls you get half of the calls in another language so you’re basically doing the work of a bilingual person. They expect you to answer a certain amount of calls however the calls can be really g when having to resolve specific issues It’s also hard to live up in the company, they show favoritism, and if they don’t want you out of member services they will not allow you to promote. Overall the company and supervisor I had was pretty chill, as long as you do your work. However the pay is what ultimately made me leave and the lack of promotional opportunities.

Response on behalf of Alliance CEO: Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We appreciate the insights you've shared from your perspective and believe that constructive feedback is essential to improve. At the Alliance, we are dedicated to helping people in our community and take pride in being one of the best places to work in the East Bay Area. I understand that the workload can be challenging and believe that teamwork is critical to our success. Our team is committed to supporting each other as we work to improve and find ways to streamline our processes. We have grown to more than 560 employees in the last year. I am confident this growth will help us keep getting better - together. We conduct a salary survey every year to ensure that our team members receive wages that align with the industry and Bay Area job market. We are also constantly working to improve the benefits and services we provide to our members. For example, our transportation benefit now includes options for rideshare services to help ensure our members can make it to their appointments on time. This is one of many examples of how we continue to improve the benefits and services we provide in partnership with our dedicated providers. I want all Alliance team members - past, present, and future - to feel heard, respected, and appreciated. If you have more suggestions about how we can continue to improve team member satisfaction or the benefits we offer to improve health and well-being in our community, please feel free to contact me directly at 1.510.747.6180.
