Pros

Aledade's commitment to value-based healthcare attracted a team of dedicated individuals who are truly passionate about their work. I can confidently say that the majority of my colleagues, around 95%, were exceptional. Furthermore, the remote work setup provided a great deal of flexibility, which was highly beneficial.

Cons

The primary issue is the absence of consistency, accountability, and clear direction from senior leadership. While the mission is commendable, the execution is haphazard and ambiguous. The CEO is responsible for establishing a clear vision and rallying stakeholders toward a unified objective. Throughout my tenure, there was a glaring absence of the company's vision and future strategies. This led to employees working tirelessly without a clear understanding of what success looks like, only to find out during annual performance reviews whether their efforts were on target. Relying on guesswork is not a viable way to operate a company. The CTO prioritized technological proficiency over leadership, neglecting that technology should be a tool, not a master. You are leading people, not computers. This is the only place I've witnessed such a high turnover due to a lack of recognition and sheer burnout from the chaotic work environment. Aledade claims to be a 'people-centric' company, but the HR department does a terrible job addressing issues. Instead of resolving complaints about lousy leadership, they let the team suffer and wait to see who leaves first. Additionally, there is a severe lack of BIPOC representation in the Engineering department. Despite initial efforts to recruit from diverse sources, the company abandoned this initiative in favor of hiring from 'top-tech' schools and companies. This decision diminished the expertise of existing staff who have successfully supported Aledade's mission for years despite not having that experience.

Pros

It is a work remote company

Cons

This company has so much to improve on I do not know where to begin. The compensation package is abysmal which is why they struggle to retain employees. There is a severe lack of appreciation for folks who aren't in leadership. The EA team is very toxic with most being jealous of one another and make condescending remarks with micro-aggressions. Working here led me to a deep depression and I just had to leave. The way the PTO works is awful too! Just a very toxic work culture and unrealistic expectations. There is no work-life balance - working 50-60 hrs a week minimum without breaks & no paid overtime.

It’s good, not great

Pros

The benefits and pay are good. Work from home and schedule is flexible, although there was discussion of moving from salaried to hourly which cuts into that flexibility.

Cons

I was disappointed in the lack of definition for my role in the company. Not a lot of clear goals and management was inexperienced making it hard to work through issues. Over 7% of employees laid off over the last several months, so I’m not sure what that means for the direction of the company.
